Can you sand outdoor decking? YES and it makes the world of difference!

Here are some great before and afters of a job we completed in Brighton when the weather was better than today. Once sanded, we finished using @berger_seidle outdoor decking oil. Just look at how the colour pops! 🤎💥🔥

It was an absolute pleasure working on this project in Herstmonceux. Incredible high ceilings and windows looking out to the most amazing view of the gardens, and they now have the perfect floor to match. 🌳🌲🫡
The solid oak floor was around 20 years old, so it was more than due its first sand. After sanding to a fine 120 grit finish, we applied 2 coats of @treatexuk ultra matte hardwax oil.

This reclaimed oak narrow strip floor was certainly worth the challenge it was to install! We had to strap the floor and weight up at numerous intervals to ensure the floor stayed tightly together and fully bonded to the subfloor. Once installed, a heavy sand was required to get the floor flat, before we stained it a smoked oak colour and finished with 3 coats of @loba_on_top_uk matte lacquer 👊 💥

A pleasure to be a part of this project in Lewes, and suppling and fitting 120m² of tumbled engineered oak throughout this ground floor property. Tumbled blocks give a distressed feel with natural edges and surface dents an aged look. We lightly sanded the floor before applying a smoked oak stain and 3 coats of @loba_on_top_uk matte lacquer.

This floor was in need of some TLC. The blocks were originally reclaimed from the old Lloyds Bank in Lewes, but they hadn’t been sanded since they were reinstalled 20 years ago. We gave the floor a good sand before finishing with 3 coats of @loba_on_top_uk matte lacquer. Definitely a good investment! 🤑

Installed this engineered oak install to a property in Ringmer – nice and local! The boards are smoked oak – a warmer, deeper colour, created using specific controlled methods during manufacturing which means you also get more colour variation between planks – and finished with matte lacquer 🔥 🔥

Taking a break from floors to transform this bamboo worktop this week 🌟 🍽️ Although it was a relatively new worktop, it hadn’t been finished correctly so was already showing water stains and scratches. We sanded back the damage, and then applied 3 coats of @osmo_uk top oil to seal and protect the wood. ➡️ for the before shot.

Wouldn’t you love to open your front door to this incredible floor? Hard to see much difference in the before and after as the room doesn`t get much natural light, but the devil`s in the details! After sanding, we filled all the gaps with resin and dust before finishing with three coats of @loba_on_top_uk Satin Lacquer.

This 1930’s property in Hove had a stunning prime oak overlay block floor. Having previously been poorly sanded and finished it took some work to restore these blocks to their former glory. After sanding, we applied three coats of @loba_on_top_uk matte lacquer to seal and protect the floor for years to come.

After lifting the carpets of this Victorian house in Lewes, we revealed the original floorboards for the first time in 30 years. We cleaned out all the dirt from the gaps and installed reclaimed pine slivers to avoid drafts and creepy crawlies. We then applied three coats of @loba_on_top_uk matte lacquer to finish the boards with a lovely golden look.
